I concur with the other reviewers. I tried home made devices, but the lap pad holds the horn steady and it does the job.

The horn rest is great, does not slip on the leg, able to adjust height. Takes strain off the back.

I've tried making my own lap pad, which didn't work. I even bought an expensive Stewart Stand, which put a dent in my euphonium! Finally, a friend recommended your lap pad. So far, it is excellent! I especially like the non-slip surface and craftsmanship. I will pass on the word!

I've used at least 8 or 10 unsatisfactory methods for keeping my euphonium in position without straining my shoulders - the latest was a guitar foot rest! This well-made and thoughtful product is perfect. It should be packaged with every new horn!

Bought this for my wife who really likes it. Adjustable pad height and no slip surface make it easy to use. All this is surprising for its' small size. Easy to take along in the case.

From a satisfied customer -
Thanks to Algirde Matonis' recommendation I sent for the lap pad and hand strap. Both are well worth the money. The pad is a blessing; keeps the horn in place with no effort; gives me erect posture; with the various inserts provided you can find the ideal height; and it sure beats using my wife's throw pillows which never worked. The hand strap I find equally as useful.Takes the strain off my arm and hand. I tuck my arm to my side, and I hardly notice any weight or torque from the horn.

The lap pad looks good. The high compression resistance of the foam cushions keeps the horn stable. I think my playing posture has improved, which gave me the added benefit of more stability in my high range.

Pretty expensive for pad, but I think it's worth it. I also own the strap support, but since I bought the pad I rarely use the strap, which is quite useful when standing. I struggled a long time with little pillows, etc., but this pad is the real deal. Beautifully designed.

I wish the pad were four inches longer. It would sit in the players lap with less adjustment. It is a huge improvement over a coupe of wrapped towels. A device like this is essential for tone quality.

Had used small towels wrapped with large bands. The towels sagged and were slippery even with the rubber bands. Stability/control of the instrument is very important for precise playing. Thanks for a very good product!
There are a couple of ways to improve the product, but is a solid 4!
